
After a succesfull beta phase, VMware released the final version of VMware Server 1.0 build 28343. The software is a free and more mature GSX Server with the following features:

- Opens VMware or Microsoft virtual machine format and Symantec LiveState Recovery images with VM Importer
- Supports Intel Virtualization Technology
- Support Microsoft clustering
- Protects investment with an easy upgrade path to VMware Infrastructure
